Answers To Ap Lab 8 Hardy-weinberg Problems

computer at Cern: Distributed computing power

The shoot protons through the accelerator, everything goes as planned. What is often forgotten: In the background are countless computer busy to process the data produced by the detectors. And this enormous task is for the most part not even addressed at Cern: 80 percent of the computing power of computers around the world provided that through a so-called " Grid " are connected to the CERN.

Wolfgang von Rueden (Left), head of CERN's IT department explains in conversation with Martin Heule the dimensions of the computer hardware and data.
